We have walked a fair long distance,
But still it seems so less,
Like it has been just yesterday,
When we had started from rest..
We began with the very first mile,
Taking every step so carefully,
And although there were thorns in path,
We walked through them successfully...
Crawling was how it all started,
Till we were able to walk,
Making ourselves capable of jumping,
Till with air we could talk...
We saw in our way happiness and sorrows,
We came across nostalgic memories,
We spent every moment with smile on our faces
And moved, just like cool and calm breeze...
Life took us where we were destined to,
And we followed it just like a shadow,
Swimming in the ocean of dreams,
No matter deep or shallow...
I know you have always been by my side,
And I cannot ask for anything more,
And I promise in this journey of life,
I'll be there with you, for many a miles more...
